BHC wants to attend sessions of pardon commission
Head of the human rights organization Aleh Hulak filed a corresponding request.
In his opinion, participation of a BHC's representative in the commission's session will allow to reflect the position of that part of the Belarusian society which stands for abolishment of death penalty, and will facilitate further humanization of the Belarusian society.
However, the human rights defenders from the Belarusian Helsinki Committee have confessed to BelaPAN that they do not hope for a positive reply from the commission.
