Belarus' MFA: Swedish Ambassador's expel is not connected with plane flight
A diplomatic war started between Belarus and Sweden on Friday.
Sweden's Minister for Foreign Affairs wrote this in his Twitter. This is how the text looks: 
At about 5.20 p.m. the Swedish Embassy confirmed to Euroradio that Ambassador Stefan Eriksson has indeed been sent away from Belarus. Other Swedish diplomats work at the place.
The Belarusian MFA has informed to Euroradio that the Swedish Ambassador was not expelled, they just took the decision not to renew his accreditation. They also underlined that the situation was not connected with the "toy landing".
Andrei Savinykh: "Mr. Stefan Eriksson has worked in Minsk for 7 years. This is a long term. Throughout all this time, his activity wqas aimed not at strenghtening of Belarus-Sweden relations, but at demiolishing thereof".
Carl Bildt, Sweden’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, have come up with an official statement. It is informed in it that Sweden claims that the stay of the new Belarusian Ambassador there is not desired, and the same concerns some two other representatives of Belarus, whose residence permits have been cancelled. Bildt stated that the expel of the Swedish Ambassador from Belarus was "a rude violation of the relations between the states". He called the accusations set against the Ambassador by the Belarusian authorities ungrounded.
It is also underlined in the statement that Sweden informed other EU states about the situation. Carl Bildt spoke with the EU Foreign Policy Head Catherine Ashton in this regard today.
Let us remind you, Stefan Eriksson has been Sweden's Ambassador to Belarus since 2008 (he has worked in Minsk since 2005). He has excellent knowledge of the Belarusian language, translated the works of the Belarusian writers into Swedish.
Let us note that Alyaksandr Lukashenka stated recently that there would be "an adequate response" for the illegal flight of the Swedish plane over Belarus.
