Court to consider appeal of Belarusian millionaires-contrabandists on Feb.6
Belarusians will appeal against the decision of Lyuboml district court, which threatens them with loss of nearly 5 million dollars.

found out in the press-center of Lutsk public prosecutor's office that the date
of the court hearing on contrabandists' case had at last been appointed.
Public prosecutor's office: "There will be repeated
hearings on the case on February 6, as appointed".
On December 19, Lutsk frontier guard brigade detained two Belarusians who tried
to cross the Belarusian-Ukrainian border illegally. The contrabandists walked
in the direction of the Belarusian village of Makrany and had 2,4 million
dollars with them.
On December 20, the offenders were sentenced to 10 days of detention for an
attempt of illegal border crossing. On January 29, the court took the decision
to confiscate 2,4 million dollars and to fine the contrabandists for the same
sum.
