Distributor of Belarusian books is fined
Ales Yaudaha needs help.
He has to pay a $6.5 thousand fine by March 18. He was fined for illegal business. The court assessed his distribution of independent Belarusian printed editions this way.
The distributor told Euroradio about the results of his failure to pay:
Yaudaha: "The confiscated property will be auctioned. They will try to confiscate something else. I must pay the fine within a month. If I don't do it, my property will be sold, I will be sent to work and the sum will be gradually deducted from my salary."
Everyone who would like to help Yadaha can contact him by e-mail ([email protected]) or personally. The distributor has also asked human rights defenders for help.
Yaudaha faced problems when he started distributing the book "Young Front Members". He was sentenced to 12 months of house arrest and fined for almost 57 million roubles.
