Edward Lobau visited by a priest in prison
Dominican priest Pyotra Rudkouski arrived to the colony in Ivatsevichy to meet with the political prisoner on December 23.
According to the priest, Edward Lobau did not feel well, he was "a bit depressed". Pyotra Rudkouski conducted a holy mass in the office of one of the colony's bosses. The political prisoner confessed and took communion, informs the web-site of the Belarusian Christian Democracy.
The priest also told that there was no opportunity to talk to the political prisoner as a guard watched them all the time, in accordance wit the colony's rules.
Edward Lobau and his ally, the "Young Front" Chairman Zmitser Dashkevich, were sentenced to 4 and 2 years of imprisonment correspondingly this year, allegedly for hooliganism. The "Young Front" activists do not admit guilt and claim that their imprisonment is the result of the KGB's provocation before the presidential election-2010.
