Information about Hockey World Championship in Minsk to appear in autumn
The International Ice Hockey Federation will make the decision at a session in Japan in the autumn of 2012.
Radio Liberty informs that Vice President of the federation Kalervo Kummola has informed Finnish mass media about it. He noted that they had received a few inquiries “from various sources” about the expediency of holding the 2014 Ice hockey World Championship in Minsk. The issue is being discussed by the directors of the International Ice Hockey Federation now.
Let us remind you that the European Parliament is going to adopt a resolution about the situation in Belarus in two weeks. It may contain an appeal to refuse Minsk the right to host the hockey championship.
