Handicapped man beating suspect let off
The Office of the Public Prosecutor moves to release the young man from police custody.
The decision was taken to let off the 17-year-old Minsker from detention and to place him under parental control, BelaPAN reports quoting Investigation Committee spokesman Alyaksandr Herasimau.
A criminal case against the youngster was opened on January 11. Investigators have interrogated seven witnesses and are also checking the complicity of his 16-year-old brother in the act of hooliganism. It is yet to be known about the role of the girl in the incident when a handicapped man was reportedly beaten on a Metro train in downtown Minsk.
