Minskers bring flowers to monument of metro blast victims (photo)
Two years have passed since the tragedy in the Minsk metro.
The Orthodox and Catholic churches of the capital will pray in memory of the deceased and injured today. Metropolitan of Minsk and Mahileu, Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz will hold service in Minsk Cathedral, starting at 6.30 p.m.
The Orthodox service starts at 5 p.m. near the memorial shield at the territory
of the All Saints church-memorial of the innocently killed in Belarus.
Archpriest Fyodar Pouny will hold it, informs BelaPAN.
15 people died and 315 suffered from the blast in Minsk metro on April 11,
2011.
25-year-old Dzmitry Kanavalau and Uladzislau Kavalyou were sentenced and executed under accusation of the terrorist act. Many human rights defenders turn attention that the trial was held in a hurry and there remained many unsolved issues.
