Ukrainian HR defenders ask to withdraw Ambassador from Belarus
HR defenders appealed to the Ukrainian government with a demand to withdraw Ukraine's Ambassador to Belarus Victar Tsikhanau.
The human rights center "Postup" has informed this to the web-site "Lugansk. Comments". They claim that the ground for this are the comments unacceptable for a diplomat. In particular, the human rights defenders are convinced that the Ambassador spoke about the value of political pluralism, freedom of convictions, and freedom of peaceful gatherings, on which every democratic society is based, with open disrespect.
The human rights defenders also appealed to President of Ukraine Victar Yanukovich and to Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantyn Hryschenko.
Let us remind you, Tsikhanau said in an interview to the TV-Channel "RTR-Belarus" that Belarusians lived peacefully and were confident in tomorrow only due to their government and President.
