Vorsin: Bringing 2 or 3 crazy Canadians to fight is up to the club!
The head of the Belarusian Hockey Federation and deputy head of the CHL administration comments on the behaviour of the manager of “Vityaz”.
Meanwhile, Nazarov has apologized.
The last minute of the match of Chehov “Vityaz” and Minsk “Dynama” took 13 minutes. Euroradio has asked Yauhen Vorsin, head of the Belarusian Hockey Federation, to comment on the events that took place there. The official is not happy about the strategy chosen by “Vityaz” at the end of the match and about the behaviour of its manager, Andrei Nazarov.
Yauhen Vorsin: “If it is okay for them to fight in Omsk, Magnitogorsk, here, and in Moscow with CSKA – what can I say? However, being so arrogant afterwards is inadmissible”.
According to the head of the Belarusian Hockey Federation, Russia is also indignant at the trick of the manager of “Vityaz”. However, the incident should not affect the relations with Russians.
Yauhen Vorsin: “Bringing 2 or 3 crazy Canadians to fight is up to the administration of the club and city it represents at the CHL”.
The conflict occurred on November 6. “Dynama” fans were indignant at the rude behaviour of Canadians Tarnasky and Brennan and started throwing plastic bottles and trifles on the ice. Nazarov caught hold of a hockey-stick and tried to hit Minsk fans with it through a 3-metre plastic barrier.
“I have not talked to Nazarov and I cannot say what made him so angry to behave that way. He is an official representative and he had to behave in some other way”, - said Uladzimir Tarzhkou, head of the CHL administration, to Euroradio.
According to Uladzimir Tarzhkou, it is difficult to understand what happened there. And it is more difficult to reveal who the provoker was.
According to Minsk City Department of the Interior, Andrei Nazarov apologized to the police and Belarusian fans after “Dynama”-“Vityaz” match. The Russian coach will return to Belarus on November 9 to take part in “Palesse Cup” in Homel on November 10 and 11.
Let us remind you that the CHL Disciplinary Committee has disqualified Nazarov for two matches for indecent behaviour at the match against “Dynama”. Sanctions for fans’ behaviour have also been imposed on “Dynama”.
