Vouchak: Even public prosecution's employees are shocked by amendments
A law should not just be adopted, it should correspond to the Constitution, the human rights defender says.
Human rights defender Aleh Vouchak has commented on the adoption of the amendments to the laws on political parties, public associations and special services by the House of Representatives, in an interview to Euroradio.
Vouchak: "All my colleagues are shocked. even those who work in public prosecutors' offices. Because these amendments were adopted secretly with no discussion... A law should not just be adopted, it should correspond to the Constitution.
If we speak about all these amendments altogether, then the activity of not just the opposition, not just human rights defense, any activity of any citizen who comes to protest may be considered as violation of these amendments".
