Russia shuts down gas supplies to Ukraine
The Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has supported the idea of the head of “Gazprom” Alexei Miller who suggested shutting down gas supplies to the Russian-Ukrainian border.
According to Miller, Ukraine blocked all pipelines leading to Europe last night and in the morning. At the same time “Gazprom” continued supplying gas to the Ukraine gas-transport system. He suggested “stopping gas supplies to the Russian-Ukrainian border as Ukraine was stealing Russian gas”.
In his turn, Putin agreed to the idea of the head of “Gazprom” but stressed that “it should be made public and done in the presence of international observers”, reports “Interfax”.
