Svetlana Alexievich’s Nobel lecture
The Nobel laureate in Literature, Belarusian writer Svetlana Alexievich, gave her Nobel lecture in the Swedish Academy in Stockholm on December 7. She spoke about her books, their protagonists, literature and read out extracts from her diary. Alexievich did not say much about modern life.
The Nobel Prize will be awarded in Stockholm on December 10. The Belarusian television is not going to broadcast the ceremony live.
