Traffic police in Minsk fine 1000 drivers daily
Traffic officers in the Belarus capital penalize up to 1000 drivers daily, Zhana Traino, a spokeswoman for the Minsk City Traffic Police told the European Radio for Belarus.
“Up to 1000 drivers are subjected to administrative prosecution in Minsk on a daily basis for violating the moving rules. Part of them pay their fines on the spot. The rest are deprived of their driving licenses until they cover their fines in court", she said.
Fines can be paid on the spot if the amount does not exceed two base rates, according to Zhana Traino.
