Turkish police used tear gas in Ankara
The riot police have used tear gas against protesters in the Turkish capital.
People were protesting against Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He is accused of attempting to impose Islamic values onto a secular state, BBC reports.
The ruling Justice and Development Party claimed that it was ready to consider the possibility of a referendum concerning the reconstruction of Gezi Park in Istanbul. The reconstruction aroused anti-governmental protests all over the country.
The ruling party suggested it after PM Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and a group of activists had conducted negotiations.
