Ukraine refused entry to 380 Russians en route via Belarus in past two weeks

Nearly 380 Russian citizens travelling from Belarus were refused entry to Ukraine beginning from 26 November. Most of them – over 260 people – tried to enter on Belarus-originated flights. The State Border Control Committee of Belarus told tut.by the situation had somewhat stabilized recently, with the number of turned Russians remaining on the same level. Ukrainian officials report different data: nearly 400 Russian were turned away from Belarus-originated flights alone. About one dozen people were refused entry when coming through the border posts by car.

Under the martial law in some of Ukraine’s regions introduced in response to Russian aggression threat, male Russian passport holders aged 16-60 are not allowed to enter Ukraine. A total of over 1000 Russian citizens have not been able to enter Ukraine since the martial law was introduced.
