United Civic Party proposes to hold congress of pro-democracy forces in fall
The opposition United Civic Party (UCP) has proposed the opposition forces in Belarus to hold the Congress of Pro-Democracy Forces, party leader Anatol Lyabedzka.
The party is set to come forward with this initiative before the organizations which are part of the United Pro-Democracy Forces (UDF) and also the organizers of the Congress of Pro-European Forces and the Congress of European Choice.
In the view of Lyabedzka, it would be logical to hold one Congress of Pro-Democracy Forces instead of two pro-European congresses. According to the politician, the congress could take place in fall.
