US imposes visa sanctions on 20 Ukrainian officials
If the sanctions do not stop the violence, America and the EU will be ready to apply other measures in order to normalise the situation in Ukraine.
The USA has imposed visa sanctions on 20 Ukrainian officials responsible for the violence in this country. A representative of the U.S. Department of State announced it on the evening of February 19, Reuters reports.
If the visa sanctions do not help stop the violence, the USA and EU will be ready to work out other measures in order to normalise the situation in Ukraine, the agency’s interlocutor said. The USA has not distributed the list of officials that will be affected by American sanctions yet.
