Vice PM Syamashka leaves for Moscow to conduct negotiations about oil supplies
The senior deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Syamahska is heading for Moscow. According to BelTA, he will continue negotiations about the terms of oil supplies. The press secretary of the Belarusian Prime Minister Alyaksandr Tsimashenka has claimed that the Belarusian delegation has been invited to Moscow by the deputy Russian Prime Minister Igor Sechin. The next round of negotiations is expected to take place in the Russian government on January 9.
Alyaksandr Tsіmashenka has stressed that the Belarusian delegation consisting of representatives of a number of profile ministries and institutions and has all the necessary powers to conduct such negotiations and sign corresponding documents. At the same time, the position of Belarus is still based on the necessity to reach mutually acceptable agreements corresponding to the legal base of Russian-Belarusian relations.
Let us remind you the Belarusian and Russian experts did not manage to agree on the most essential issues and sign corresponding documents during the previous rounds of negotiations on December 30 and 31, 2009 and on January 6 and 7, 2010.
