Yakubovich’s: Statkevich’s candidature is a bad joke
The support of the political prisoner at the presidential election testifies to the Belarusian opposition’s weakness, the editor of the newspaper belo
The future presidential election was discussed in the programme Editors’ Club on Belarus 1 on July 19. The Belarusian political opposition has failed to unite although there were no obstacles to it, editor-in-chief of SB – Belarus Today Pavel Yakubovich said.
"There were no physical or moral obstacles to uniting and fining a serious person to support at the election,” BELTA quotes Yakubovich.
He criticized the support of political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich. “What kind of politics is that? These people turn serious politics and important decisions into a bad joke,” Yakubovich noted.
