Zayats: Belarus expects breakthrough in agricultural supplies to US
The Belarusian agriculture minister Leanid Zayats is paying a visit to the United States.
Belarus expects to see a breakthrough in agricultural supplies to the United States soon, Belarusian Minister of Agriculture and Nutrition Leanid Zayats announced on a visit to the United States at the moment.
The volume of delivery is expected to reach 100 million dollars by the end of the year, Zayats said. It totals only 2.5 million now (Belarus supplies casein and other dairy products to the USA). The access of Belarusian flax fiber, linen, cheese, dairy products, juices and berry drinks (11 kinds of goods) to the American market was also discussed in Washington. No potato supplies are planned now.
The visit of the Belarusian Minister is also a breakthrough, BELTA reports. This is the first visit of a Belarusian Minister to the USA in 10 years.
