116 protesters arrested in Hong Kong
Hong Kong authorities have started removing the barricades in the city which made protesters angry.
New clashes with the police occurred in the centre of Hong Kong. According to the police, 116 activists have been detained.
Hong Kong authorities started removing the barricades and protesters’ tents in the district earlier. They did it according to the court’s decision. A lot of people dissatisfied with it came to the streets, BBC reports.
Activists are dissatisfied with the Chinese authorities’ decision to select candidates for the administrative election in Hong Kong in 2017. They demand direct negotiations with Beijing.
