17:13 Baradulin remains in intensive care

Belarus's top poet Ryhor Baradulin remains at the intensive care unit of the Office of the President's Hospital, despite his condition has been stabilized and improving, the poet's wife Valiancina Baradulina told the European Radio for Belarus. She managed to visit her husband today despite the flu quarantine introduced in the capital on February 23. Headaches have stopped, and the poet is able to move and take food on his own, she said.

However, his body temperature is still higher than required. Baradulin is soon to be transferred to a physician's therapy department. The poet was admitted to the hospital on February 22 and diagnosed with pneumonia.
