18 people delivered to sobering-up stations on Sobriety Day in Minsk

18 people were delivered to Minsk sobering-up stations on the Day of Sobriety appointed for February 14.
Doctors informed that it was the usual number of dunk people per day. For example, 14 people were delivered to them on February 15.

In spite of this, “Interfax” informs that Minsk police considers the result of the Sobriety Day to be positive. Alcohol was banned from capital shops on that day.

According to the head of the civil safety police Uladzimir Navitkevich, the number of domestic crimes decreased in Minsk and young people were sober on February 14.

The Belarusian capital is one of the top-3 European capitals if you take the amount of alcohol per person into account. There is 12 litres of pure alcohol per person a year. Only Moscow and Vilnius inhabitants drink as much – 56 bottles of vodka per person a year.
