18:20 Education ministry inspects private universities

The Ministry of Education of Belarus has checked the performance of the students at private colleges. According to the ministry, private students often display a better performance than the students from the state-sponsored universities.

Currently, there is a total of 12 private higher education institution, where nearly 58000 students are studying.

Previously, enrollees who would fail to enter the free colleges would sign up for private education. But, today the situation has changed, the ministry said. 

The private and state-sponsored universities now have a similarly good level of education, reports ONT channel.
