35 armed Berkut riot policemen flee from Kiev (video)
Ukraine's acting interior minister Arsen Avakov says the members of the riot police force have fled on fears of standing trials for murder.
The Berkut administration fled and were followed by dozens of armed members, he said. Avakov will comment on the other details later.
The riot police Berkut took part in dispersing the protest actions, beating protesters and probably murders. The unit will be disbanded. However, Berkut’s functions should be entrusted to other police departments first.
