About 5 million roubles will be spent on the restoration of Kosava Castle this year. The money will be allocated form the national and regional budgets. It will be spent on the interior, network and neighbourhood improvement, BELTA reports.
The object will be divided into three parts – a hotel, civil cultural centre and café. The initial function of the rooms will be taken into account during the restoration. The repair works started in Kosava Palace in 2008. The restoration is expected to be finished in 2020.
The manor Mereczowszczyzna where the palace is situated is a popular sightseeing destination in Brest Region. 35.6 thousand tourists visited Kosava Palace and the Museum of Tadeusz Kościuszko last year. The number of tourists (including foreign citizens) was twice bigger than in 2017.
