5 or 10 days in jail for solidarity with political prisoner
European Belarus activists get locked up for manifesting solidarity with Yury Rubtsou.
Activists of European Belarus Maksim Vinyarski, Leanid Kulakou and Syarhei Matskoits stood trial on June 22.
They were detained for hoisting the banner ‘Release Yury Rubtsou!’ near the hypermarket Gippo in Lahoiski Tract on Friday, Euroradio reported. All the three spent the weekend in jail.
Syarhei Matskoits was jailed for 5 days for violating the order of mass events organization. Maksim Vinyarski was jailed for 10 days for a repeated violation, the human rights website Viasna reports.
Leanid Kulakou’s aces will be considered on June 23 so that policemen can give evidence in court.
