200 people attend Alexievich’s Intellectual Club first meeting
The first meeting of Svetlana Alexievich’s intellectual club was held in TUT.BY gallery on the evening of December 7. Russian poetess and translator Olga Sedakova, winner of numerous literary awards, was the invited guest. She gave a lecture dedicated to the topic ‘Malice’. 600 people registered to attend the meeting but only 200 applicants could get there, Svetlana Alexievich said.
"It was really unexpected. We will consider the possibility of holding such meetings in bigger rooms in the future,” Svetlana Alexievich noted.
