Activists demand freedom for Belarusian political prisoners near Finnish parliament
More than 100 people participated in the action organized by Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu's daughter Eva Nyaklyaeva and her friends in Helsinki. The representatives of the PEN-center, writers' and creative unions, famous Finnish culture figures, politicians and our countrymen who live in Finland participated in the action.
"We haven't asked persmisson to conduct an action as it should be done in Belarus - we just called the police and informed them. The police asked us to be careful because it might snow heavily. Belarusians live in absolutely different conditions", — said Eva Nyaklyaeva on air on Euroradio.
The participants of the action addressed to the EU and the Finnish government urging them to help to free political prisoners and to choose a common policy with regard to the Belarusian regime.
