Alena Tankachova’s hearing postponed
The human rights defender is about to be deported from Belarus.
The case of the head of the Legal Transformation Centre Alena Tanckachova had to be considered in Minsk Pershamaiski District Court today. Her residence permit was annulled at the end of October. She was accused of administrative violations – speeding while driving. The police will decide whether the human rights defender will have to leave Belarus now.
About 40 people came to support Tankachova in court. However, the hearing was postponed. The time will be reported later. The police have suggested that Tankachova registered in the migration department for the time being.
