Alfa unit joins Maidan in Ivano-Frankivsk (video)
Six representatives of the special troops Alfa have quit their job in Ivano-Frankivsk.
Alfa members were gathered on the morning of January 28 and presented with an ultimatum: either support the government or retire, unian.net reports. “As we had sworn allegiance to the Ukrainian people, our whole unit decided to leave,” one of the Alfa members noted.
The information was confirmed by member of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council Mykola Poliychuk.
