According to Euroradio, on January 5, the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained in Minsk and Mahiliou the participants of an international criminal group involved in match-fixing. According to unofficial reports, it was about volleyball and football. They bet in the bookmaker offices of Western Europe and Asia. Three suspects were taken into custody. They are former professional athletes. The police are looking for other participants of the criminal schemes.
As the journalists of 'Pressball' discovered, operatives are looking into the matches with the participation of four teams of the major league. In the first league, there is a dozen strange matches that caught the eye of the law enforcement. It can be assumed that in the first league games, which are under investigation, there are clubs that have already received complaints from the Belarusian Football Federation.
