Entrepreneurs leader Shumchanka fined Br3.15 mln over rally
Minsk's Maskouski District Court has fined head of the republican association Persectiva Anatol Shumchanka for Br 3 million 150 thousand (15 base amounts). He was fined for the entrepreneurs’ action held near the Ministry of Taxation in Minsk on March 14.
Two policemen witnessed against Shumchanka. They claimed to have seen him shouting “Freedom!” and “Work!” The leader of entrepreneurs refused to give evidence in court, BelaPAN reports.
The leader of Perspectiva will not try to appeal the court’s deacon. “This is a conveyer: they fine and if the court decides to imprison, they will do it,” Shumchanka commented on the situation.
A meeting of entrepreneurs was organized by Anatol Shumchanka and Mikalai Statkevich near the Ministry of Taxation on March 14. About two hundred people took part in the action. Entrepreneurs brought a mass appeal demanding to cancel decree #22 to the Ministry. Policemen in plain clothes were watching the action that lasted for 90 minutes.
