Applications for two rallies on "Dzyady" filed in Minsk
Street rallies timed to the Day of Memory of Ancestors also known as Dzyady is to be held on 1 and 8 November. Applications for these days were filed by the Conservative Christian Party - BPF with the Minsk City Executive Committee and Minsk Oblast Executive Committee
On November 1, a march on the streets of Minsk as well as a meeting in Kurapaty - a mass grave of victims of Stalinist repression - will take place.
On November 8, there will also be a march and a rally in the Loshytsa ravine in memory of the victims of Stalinist repression.
The organizers did not specify the exact time of gathering and the route of the march. Under the law, it is possible to make this information public only after a permit from the officials is obtained. Most likely, the answer will be known on October 26.
