Arseni Yatsenyuk refuses to head Ukrainian government (video)
Another round of opposition’s negotiations with the Ukrainian President was held on Monday.
Leaders of the opposition parliamentary factions Vitali Klichko, Arseni Yatsenyuk and Oleh Tsehnibok represented protesters there. Victor Yanukovich suggested that Arseni Yastenyuk should head the government during their last meeting. The negotiations took 4 hours on January 27, Minister of Justice Olena Lukash said. Arseni Yastenyuk refused to accept Yanukovich’s offer. Vitali Klichko also refused to become vice PM for humanitarian issues. The government and opposition are expected to continue the negotiations.
One more meeting of the Verkhovna Rada will be held on Tuesday. Another attempt to find a peaceful way out of the political crisis will be made there.
