Baranavichy activist fined for Br2 million for missing politician’s portrait
Anzhela Kambalava has stood trial today.
The head of the local UCP affiliate was detained on the evening of May 7. She was standing near the supermarket Vyasyolka with the portrait of ex-Minister of Internal Affairs Yury Zaharanka. Kambalava spent almost 3 hours being interrogated in the police office, and then she was sent to jail. Her shoelaces were confiscated and she was not offered any meal.
Judge Katsyaryna Hruda fined Kambalava for 2 million roubles for the unauthorized action (20 base amounts).
