Champions League: Shakhtar Donetsk 5 – 0 BATE (video)
Shaktar Donetsk prove once again they are too good for Belarusian champions.
The Barysau team tried to be defensive. Attacks were unsuccessful due to bad passes. Shakhtar scored only one goal in the first period – Srna scored it during the 19th minute. Chernik saved BATE a few times.
BATE played short-handed in the second period as Hagush had been shown one red and two yellow cards.
Teijeiro scored the second goal during the 48th minute and Lius Andriano scored a penalty shot (‘earned’ by Yablonski) during the 58th minute. He also scored goals during the 83rd and 90th minuets and mad the score 5:0 (he scored 8 goals in two matches against the Barysau team!).
BATE’s players were: Chernik, Haiduchyk, Hagush, Mladenovich, Palyakou, Yablonski (Valadzko M. 60), Karnitski, Valadzko A., Hardzyaichuk, Yakauleu (Alyahnovich, 46) and Sihnevich (Radyyonau, 70).
BATE lost to Shakhtar in two matches (0:7) and to Porto (0:6), defeated Spanish Atlético 2:1. BATE will play against Porto on November 25 and the head for Spain to play Atlético on December 10.
Atlético lost to Porto in another match in our group – 0:2. Porto is leading after 4 rounds – 10 points, Shakhtar has 8 points, BATe – 3 and Atlético – 1.
