BCD will go for boycotte if Rymasheuski is not registered

The party "Belarusian Christian Democracy" will agitate citizens to boycotte the presidential elections and to participate in the actions of protest in case their candidate is not registered. Such decision has been taken by the delegates of the third constituent assembly of the BCD party on September 12 in Minsk, informs BelaPAN. The assembly approved Vital Rymasheuski as the party's candidate for President unanimously.

The delegates approved the party programme for the presidential electoral campaign. It says that Belarus should be an independent, national and democratic state. The document also contains suggestion on administrative-territorial reform. The BCD members are convinced that it is necessary to abolish the current division into 118 districts and 6 regions and introduce a new one - 23 districts, for "optimization of State governing". Moreover, the BCD members consider that the Parliament should consist of two chambers - lower ("Seim") and upper ("Senate") ones.
