Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya met with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Vilnius, the press service of the leader of the democratic forces of Belarus reports.
At the meeting, the key topics of discussion were the political situation in Belarus, Armenia, and the region, as well as the cooperation between the Belarusian democratic forces and the Armenian government, parliament, and civil society. Additionally, Tsikhanouskaya and Mirzoyan addressed the situation of Belarusians and Belarusian women in Armenia, particularly the non-extradition of Belarusian citizens at the request of the Lukashenka regime.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that no Armenian official would visit Belarus as long as Lukashenka remained in power. He accused Lukashenka of helping Azerbaijan prepare for a war against Armenia as an ally of Armenia in the CSTO.
Recently, relations between Minsk and Yerevan have deteriorated: the ambassadors of both countries have been recalled home.
