Belarus and Lithuania to create business council
Belarus and Lithuania are going to create a business council that will unite representatives of the two countries’ business circles.
The Prime Ministers of both states Syarhei Sidorski and Andrius Kubilius agreed on it at a meeting in Hrodna, informs BelaPAN.
The leader of the Lithuanian government called the meeting in Hrodna “a constructive conversation”.
He noted that “plans on general initiatives that could be useful for both Lithuania and Belarus” were discussed during the negotiations, in particular, the ways of development of transport corridors between the European and Asian markets, general economic plans on investment and reciprocal trade.
Kubilius stressed that Lithuania was interested in increasing the Belarusian transit on its territory.
