Lenin's head "moulded" from jelly is one of the objects showcased at the exhibition Other Generation Means Other Space. Women's Time that opened recently in Viciebsk. The unusual artifact is part of the Dozen Knives into Revolution's Back installation by artist Anastasia Hancharova.
"The artifact is eatable but has a very disgusting taste: a mixture of chilly, fat, jelly and technical materials. Besides, it shakes in a funny way when you touch it with your finger," comments Hancharova, adding that she worked together with Pavel Yurkou.
Next to the jelly head there is a knife: visitors can taste Lenin and they are not excited about the taste. "Vladimir Ilyich is totally not tasty justlike his ideas, which are unfortunately still alive up to now."
Above the head is a bloody combination of ropes and rags. "You don't really want to know more about this revolution, its founders and its supporters," adds Hancharova.
