Belarus bikers to pass test for category A
Bikers' deaths are up 40%, accidents involving them - 22%.
Latest tragic incident occurred on September 10 in Minsk, when two bikers got killed.
Law enforcers believe that one of the main causes of accidents is that bikers lack category A licenses. Usually, they have a license to drive a car and "no practice of driving high-performance motorcycles," says in his commentary to Komsomolskaya Pravda v Belarussii employee of the Prosecutor General office Uladzimir Krukouski. Now it is proposed that all motorcyclists are issued the category A license after passing a special driving test at a driving school.
Another proposal is to prohibit "loud" motorcycle runs. It is assumed that this violation will be fined - from 300 thousand to 750 thousand rubles. Bikers can banned from riding on one wheel, transport drunk passengers. And in order for them to let off steam, they are offered a special site.
Changes in the rules of the road can already be introduced before the end of 2014.
