Belarus launches National Agency for Space Research
The new structure will deal with all the issues related to the exploration and use of outer space by Belarus.
Belarus has launched the National Agency for Space Research. The decision was approved on May 21 by the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences.
According to the First Deputy Chairman of the Academy Presidium, Syarhei Chyzhyk, the agency will begin working within 10 days, it will include Center for Geographic Information Systems, United Institute of Informatics. It is expected that the new structure will deal with all the issues related to the exploration and use of outer space by our country. It should help to make space exploration more efficient.
Mr Chyzhyk said that it is now important take the next step in the space - "to create a new space group, a new satellite," BelaPAN reports.
