Belarus DPM to Moscow for oil talks

The negotiations will focus on the supplies of Russian crude oil to Belarus, reports Interfax-Zapad.

The Russian oil company Transneft announced earlier it planned to cut crude supplies to Belarus by 400,000 tonns in September. Russian Vice Prime Minister Arkadiy Dvorkovich later said the volume of Russian oil supplies to Belarus was decreased.

"As for crude oil supplies, Russia's stance has not changed. The plan is to supply 18.5 million tons, with Belarus insisting on 23 million tons," Dvorkovich said in his commentary on the arrest of Uralkali CEO Vladislav Baumgertner.

Arkadiy Dvorkovich also described the situation with Baumgertner's arrest as inadequate, hinting that Russia could revise some aspects of bilateral cooperation with Belarus.
