Belarus MPs denounce Kosovo independence
Two parliamentary commissions in Belarus on Thursday passed a statement in connection with the unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo, reports Belta.
The Council of the Republic's Foreign Affairs and National Security Commission and the House of Representative's International Relarions Commission said in a joint statement that the developments in Kosovo both destabilize the situations in the Balkans and affect the international stability.
In the view of the Belarusian parliamentarians, Kosovo will inevitably become a precedent for similar crisis situation in other countries. The statement condemns the Kosovo independence declaration and appeals to the parliaments around the world to treat this declration as illegitimate.
