Belarus has opened the Chernobyl exclusion zone for tourists. Some objects in the area can be accessed legally, reports ONT.

“Two routes have been chosen. They include rest spots and the roads with improved surface. The authorities have also calculated the radiation doze that can be received while in the area, Palessie State Radiation Ecological Reserve deputy director Maksim Kudzin told the journalists.

Mr Kudzin says that the doze received during a flight can be more than the doze from one working day in the exclusion zone.

The sightseeing tour for a group of five people will cost BYN340 or approximately $140.

Ukraine opened the exclusion zone on its territory earlier, selling packages for groups of tourists.
