Belarus to see potato crop yield 22% down this year
Ministry of Agriculture has reduced this year's potato harvest forecast by 22 percent, reports AFN. Initially, the plan was to yield 9 million tons of potato. However, the long-standing heat wave have lowered the forecast to 6-7 million tons. The hot and dry weather is also affecting the grain harvest. Belarus will yield 7 million tons instead of 9 million tons in the initial forecast.
