Belarus in talks with Russia over power supplies
Belarus plans to import from Russia 5 billion kW hours of electricity in 2008, Raman Shyrma, Head of Energy, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry Department at the Belarus's Ministry of Economy said in a statement.
He would not rule out that the volume of power imports could be increased, reports Belta. The sides are expected to reach a deal at the negotiations that began today in Moscow.
Shyrma said that Belarus was also studying the possibilities of electricity imports from Ukraine. The talks with Kiev are in progress.
