Belarus top athletes promote mother tongue in Minsk (video)
Belarus swimming star Aliaksandra Herasimenia and BATE forward Vital Radzionau unveil the Mova Cup, a sporting event to promote national roots.
The star duo talked about the national sporting festival Mova Cup that will take place on September 28 at the Track and Field Center in Kalinouskaga street 111 in Minsk.
"Our language is something that was with us in the past since the times of Radzivils. The Mova Cup is something that awaits us in the future," says Aliaksandra Herasimenia. I don't know why we used to feel shy to speak the Belarusian language. But our national concsiousness is waking up. All together, we try to speak Belarusian.
Belarus and FC BATE forward Vital Radzivonau expressed hope that the youth would turn its attention to Belarusian language and national culture.
